About Back Porch Swing

Back Porch Swing was formed in Richmond in 1996 and has performs locally in various configurations as events required.

In addition to the core of Liz Nance, Vocals; Russell Lawson, Guitar and Vocals, Back Borck Swing has included, occasionally, Elaine Mandaleris, Vocals; David Berry, Guitar and Viola; Cy Taggart, Guitar, Mandolin, Slide Guitar and Vocals; Richard Rumble, Guitar.

Dave was raised right here in Richmond and was educated here, too. Dave has his own accounting business. He lives "west of the Boulevard."

Cy is a Chicago native, with a Bachelor's in Music and twenty years leading high school choirs, conducting and arranging for various school music programs and playing in bands. He lives in Chesterfield with his wife, Connie, and two children. You can see Cy around Richmond playing solo and with sidemen as Chicago Cy.

Elaine is a Richmond native, a writer by trade who is a communications professional for the Federal Reserve Bank. Elaine sings for the Richmond Symphony Chorus and the choir at the St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She lives in the West End.

Richard grew up in Virginia BEach, and is a creative director for a local advertising agency and art directs work for their home improvement and other clients. He lives in Richmond's West End.
